Are there particular suburbs or property types you think will be “ones to watch” this spring?
Every season highlights a different segment of the market, and this spring John has his eye on three-bedroom apartments.
“Right now, we’re seeing exceptionally strong results for three-bedroom apartments, particularly those with ground floor access or generous courtyards,” he explained. These properties are appealing to a wide range of buyers, from down-sizers who want a low-maintenance lifestyle, to young families looking for space without the upkeep of a freestanding house.
The attraction comes down to lifestyle. Down-sizers are often cashed-up and motivated to stay in the suburbs they know, while younger families want a home that offers comfort and convenience without endless hours of lawn care. “It’s a sweet spot,” John said. “These apartments provide enough room for day-to-day living while delivering lifestyle benefits that are increasingly in demand.”
Importantly, John believes this is more than just a seasonal trend. “Three-bedroom apartments with outdoor space are performing well now, but they also hold strong medium-term potential,” he said. “This is an asset class worth watching well beyond spring.”
